A DAY OF MOTIVATION AND CULTURE: PANACEA’S MOVIE DAY FEATURING PURNA BAHADUR KO SARANGI
We organized a special Movie Day for our students, giving them an opportunity to enjoy the film “Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi” that was both entertaining and motivational. On the day, 26th November, 2024, Panacea Students were taken to iNi Cinemas, NB Center for the show. The primary objective behind hosting this Movie Day was to offer our students a chance to reflect on real-life stories that are both heartwarming and inspiring.
In this movie, the protagonist Purna Bahadur is committed to his family’s tradition of playing the sarangi and singing as he travels from village to village. Even though society doesn’t respect his work, he is determined to continue this tradition, not just for his own pride, but also to create a better future for his child. Even though life is tough, the protagonist Purna Bahadur is determined to give his son a better future through education. The film shows the strong connection between father and son as they face poverty together, with music giving them hope and strength to keep going.
The feedback from our students was very positive. Many shared how the movie inspired them to follow their passions, even when they face personal or academic challenges. Others felt more determined to stay focused on their goals, no matter how difficult things may get. The movie also led to meaningful discussions about resilience, creativity, and the importance of chasing your dreams, even when others doubt you. It was inspiring to see students connect Purna Bahadur’s story with their own lives, helping them reflect and grow.
After the movie screening, the students had the incredible opportunity to meet Mr. Bijaya Baral, the actor who portrayed Purna Bahadur in the film. They were excited and inspired to meet the person behind such a powerful performance. Many students shared how they felt even more connected to the movie after meeting the actor. The actor took the time to answer their questions, talk about the making of the film, and share personal insights about overcoming challenges. The students left the event feeling motivated and encouraged, with a deeper appreciation for the movie and its message.
