Kathmandu, July 13, 2025

Panacea Day 2025 was successfully celebrated at Nepal Police Club, Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, bringing together the Panacea Family and guests for a meaningful day of cultural exchange and friendship between Nepal and Japan. The program started at 9 AM with a formal welcome session followed by the respectful observance of the national anthems of Nepal and Japan. The presence of distinguished guests from Japan, including representatives from the Japanese School, Nepal, along with enthusiastic participation from students and well-wishers, added great significance to the occasion.

The event was gracefully hosted by Panacea’s Managing Director, Mr. Tika Ram Khadka. After the formal welcome session, students performed a beautiful Nepali Cultural Dance showcasing 12 different Nepali culture attire and dance forms. There was a Talk Show Event attended by Japanese guests from different Japanese Schools. During this interactive session, students got to learn about the Japanese lifestyle, education system, social rules, and manners. They also learned about Japanese culture, including festivals, customs, and daily life. This experience was both educational and inspiring, helping students better understand Japanese culture and see the world from a broader perspective.

Not only this, 10 years old Shivash Khadka performed a dance in Krishna Bhajan with senior students on stage. Before snacks, students recited stories & performed in celebration of Tanabata Festival

After having a delicious snack break, the program continued with even more energy and excitement. Students performed a variety of traditional Nepali dances (Jhyaure, Tamang Selo, Magar, Newari, etc.). Among them, the students’ performance of Newari Lakhey Dance truly stood out, captivating the audience with its powerful movements, vibrant costume, and cultural significance.

The audience was also treated to a series of graceful and vibrant Japanese dance performances, such as the Parasol Dance, Bon Odori, and the energetic Sōran Bushi. Not only dance, the program also featured Nepali songs and Live Dohori performances, adding a melodious and interactive flavor to the event. To add to the excitement, all staff members of Panacea performed an entertaining dance performance which electrified the atmosphere, filling the crowd with energy and excitement

Besides cultural performances, students also showcased impressive Martial Arts skills and participated in fun, traditional Japanese games. Dedicating to all the Panacea Family, there was an important Video Message from Panacea students in Japan, and a Video Message connecting Panacea Family & journey. Students also presented a Nepali drama depicting the hard work of a single mother and an emotional journey of two lives taking very different paths — one choosing the right way through hard work and honesty, while the other falls into bad company and poor decisions.

The powerful storyline delivered a strong social message and was well-received by the audience. Another main highlight of the program was Panacea Sawal, an interactive session where the Director of the Panacea team engaged directly with students, responding to their questions, concerns, and curiosities. This open dialogue created a meaningful space for communication, guidance, and motivation, strengthening the bond between students and the Panacea leadership.

The program also included Japanese Speech Competition and Quiz Competition. Where, Ms. Aashika Tamang (Mr. Prajwal Sensei Representative) won the first prize on Speech Competition and Quiz Competition was won by Mr. Bishal Sensei Representatives, Ms. Sita Kumari Bhandari, Ms. Sangita Tamang & Mr. Ayush Mahat.
